Laziness: I don’t want to do the thing so I’m not going to do the thing and I’m not going to worry about it because I don’t care.
Procrastination: I’m purposely putting off doing the thing because I don’t want to do the thing and this may or may not be causing me anxiety depending on how important the thing is.
Executive Dysfunction: I may or may not want to do the thing but regardless I can’t seem to do the thing and it is causing me great anxiety because the thing needs to be done.
Laziness: I don’t feel like initiating tasks that are ultimately unpleasant or difficult, like mowing the lawn. Even if I would like the outcome the reward doesn’t seem worth the effort.
Executive Dysfunction: I am unable to initiate even tasks that are neutral or pleasant, like getting myself a snack or starting a new video game. I would sincerely like to do this thing, but it literally feels impossible to make myself do it.
Maybe misusing the name of God isn’t so much about saying the shallow words, “Oh my God,” as it is about using the name of God to justify discrimination, oppression, injustice, racism, slavery, xenophobia, poverty, sexism, islamophobia, ableism, homophobia, war, & the list can go on.
Does anyone else love bad weather? Like the kind that’s loud and dark and draws attention to its self like pounding rain drops and thunder and lightning that seems just so close. And you can sit near a window and it’s dark outside and maybe you’ve got a candle lit or a lamp and it’s so warm inside and you’re wearing you’re favourite sweater and watching a good show or reading a good book and it’s beautiful outside the rain and the clouds and the sound of it all and you’re just so content and cosy and happy
